Magazine jam in Sig 226 pellet pistol

I recently bought a Sig 226 pellet pistol, my first airgun. The magazine is jammed in the mag well. I can't seem to get it out, even pulling on it with pliers while pressing the mag release. I've also put a rod down the barrel to try to deal with any pellet that might be stuck halfway in the magazine. Maybe I put the magazine in backwards? It's really stuck. How can I free the magazine without damaging the gun?

That happens to mine every once in a while! I just keep pounding the base of the mag and both grip sides and eventually the mag will drop. Not happy but not that worried that much about it.

This isn't working for me, but I thank you for your suggestion. I'll try calling Sig Sauer and/or Sportsman's Warehouse. Thanks.
