Has Walmart quit selling Crosman 2240?

Last week, all Walmarts had stock of Crosman 2240 pistol. This week, the pistol is not even showing anywhere in the Walmart system. When something is out of stock you have the chance to leave an email alert but not anymore because its not listed at all. I wrote to Walmart but they didnt answer. What gives?

Dont laugh, sling shots are outlawed in several US cities now.

I chatted to Walmart twice since my post. Warmart says airguns are restricted now in CA, starting on Christmas Eve. I asked what law they are quoting and they said they would escalate my case to corporate. I got a reply from corporate which said, "thank you for your suggestion, our marketing team will take it under review."

Amazon also refused to ship the Crosman, citing that CA is a restricted state for airguns.

I didnt try buying every single airgun at either place to test their resolve but it seems they have decided to make political statements outside of the law. If there is another reason for non-shipping that has nothing to do with the inventory count, its lost on me.

Seaside, CA has banned airguns and maybe the rest of the country is reacting to that, who knows?

In a new article I have about Venezuelans being sorry they let the Communists take away their guns for the exact same reasons we have the 2nd Am, its noted that only police are allowed to have BB guns.

Is/are Amazon and Walmart following Dick's to end firearms sales? No announcements but somethings going on.

California gun laws are constantly changing and are so byzantine that a lot of vendors have just given up on dealing with the shyt. That has been the goal of the gun grabbers and they are succeeding. Pyramyd Air and Airgun Depot will ship to Kommiefornia (at least for now).

Yes I bought from Airgun Depot, they are very friendly, easy to deal with and had the same prices as Walmart. So what i bought is on the way. Im not a BB guy but just wanted some dirt cheap practice I could easily do in my own neighborhood, plus that airguns are not absent from the desired ban list, same with everything.

We always think as long as the laws are intact the sellers will automatically follow. But its not so, they are doubling down on their personal politics when they are on the negative side.

I'm planning to leave too. Guns is one thing, excessive coming taxation and political atmosphere are others. Even if there had never been a firearm in CA there is still no reason to stay anymore. Its off the cliff.

You think Moonbeam was bad hold on to your wallet after the next Dictator gets in. Here is one for ya, in 2020 each household has a 55 gal a person water usage a month . Go over and the price skyrockets for each gallon after that.

Deadshot, not sure how to comment because if there is no water, there is no water, although i cant imagine how that fact would be attractive to illegals or others seeking the welfare life in CA.

I got a better one, a slew of EO's coming from Newsom in the coming weeks, the EO's that circumvent even the viciousness of the Assembly and Senate. How about outright 100% gun bans, with Newsom challenging people to sue him, which takes years? Possible? Probable? How about emergency property taxes of 15%, sales taxes of 20%, shared responsibility payments of $500/mo? How about a cig tax of $15/pack and liquor tax of $15/bottle? Trump isnt showering the state with money, rich people wont/dont pay much tax, that leaves the bulk of the street people to shoulder everything, just like they did in the Depression.

Maybe everyone will start solar stills for water, maybe more people will leave, maybe there wont be a gun shop (or gun!) left in CA in six months in order to curtail thoughts of civil war, but stripping wealth is the aim here, the only thing socialists are good at, stripping so that everyone has equally nothing.

                Water?

An airgun isn't a firearm, so municipal ordnance can ban them. But to me they should be protected under the 2nd Amendment, just like the recent SCOTUS ruling on nunchucks (manchukas).

                        Tony,

Airguns arent firearms to me but ive read several times in the past two weeks around the country that airguns ARE firearms or treated as firearms but because they dont use traditional ammo they, as you say, can be banned by cities they same way they do slingshots and blowguns (which should also be protected). I'll try to find and post a post from an airgun forum I was reading last week which said words to the effect, "as we all know now, airguns are firearms....." blah blah and nobody challenged the statement. These forums arent state-specific so I couldnt say where they are referring to. Also, there are states creating guidelines for airgun use in hunting seasons because people are taking game with them. It seems a very blurred line between airguns, muzzleloaders and traditional guns now and hence soon all the same laws (?)

But does splitting hairs even matter? "If it looks like a duck, its a duck" is what prevails now as the excuse to not sell. Neither Walmart nor Amazon will reply to me about why they refuse to sell. At no time did they qualify their statement that CA is a restricted state. Whats the excuse not to be honest and say they hate guns and contraptions that look like guns? No law against honesty.

50 by 2030. It appears the fines are at the water supplier level, not actual household.

The governor signed two bills that require cities, water districts and large agricultural water districts to set annual water budgets, potentially facing fines of $1,000 per day if they don’t meet them, and $10,000 a day during…

In court splitting hairs matter, a BB is propelled by spring, piston, compressed gas, catapult, band, ect, or other devise, that is in my words. A firearm is a devise that fried a projectile that is propelled by expanding gas produced by explosion, including but not limited to rockets, propelled grenades, missiles, ect, again my words.

I think they will eventually fall under the protection of the 2nd Amendment

Tony, I agree with you but I doubt that definitions that come by way of court decisions would influence a sellers decision to sell or not sell. After all, they could look it up in Wikipedia if they cared to. Dicks didnt need a definition to decide to stop selling.

The point of my original post was, for loss of better words, to register my astonishment that traditional sellers of gun-related items, even down to a BB gun of all things, seem to be inching the doors shut.

Im facing it myself. You see in my signature I sell slings for the AR-7. I sell on Ebay and other places and have for a long time. Ive had my Ebay account for 23 years and am on the verge of losing it now because Ebay says Im selling guns. We argue, its only a sling, but the ends of buttstocks are shown in some photos and therefore we are selling guns. I carved foam models to get rid of stocks and removed all gun words from titles and descriptions and Ebay asks, what are the slings for? Its for a rifle. So, in other words you are selling rifles. So they put me under a selling limitation thats lasted for years now and wont remove it. We're at a point now of having to choose to lose the account or lose the slings.

We forget that Dicks stopped guns because while we are posting our blah blah on forums, the hard Left is mailing 1000 sellers to pressure them to stop the madness of destroying all the children in the country. Yes, its astonishing to me that sellers are no longer interested in definitions and courts and laws and rights, and so easily succumb to the planting of false emotions out of which stems the need to stop selling BB guns because of their potential to destroy all the children of the world and soon we will have no more world!!

Whats happening in CA is also creeping along the entire country landscape. Red states will not always stay red and pretty soon, easily in our lifetime, people will have to choose, like I must in Ebay, lose the guns or lose the country and move to Mars.
