    Leave air cartridges in?

I've heard conflicting stories about leaving compressed air cartridges in the gun between range sessions. Some say it's ok, but only for a few days. Others say even that is too long.

I've tried to use one cartridge up per session on my Sig P250, but it would be nice if I could leave it in the gun.

What have you guys heard or done?

    Thanks.

This video says it is OK for the gun. But for safety reasons it should not be done since anything that gets lodged in the barrel during storage will become a projectile if the trigger is pulled.
Also it is CO2 not air.

        Good info. Thanks, guys.

I think I'll get some pellet gun oil too. Couldn't hurt.

I really like the Sig. It looks and feels like a real P250. It's accurate and fun to shoot. It's made by Sig too.

If I'm planning on leaving it for more than a month I take the cartridge out. You don't want the rubber face seal to be imprinted with the outline of the cartridge you want it to stay fresh. Though I feel it take much longer than a month, but that usually my guideline.
Yes a drop on the head of the cartridge is what's recommended for most co2 guns. Get yourself a lifetime of pellet gun oil with Non detergent 30wt motor oil.

            Hi Rob,

            Thanks.

The rubber face seal is one of the reasons why I'd like to leave the cartridge in longer. I removed a CO2 cartridge last weekend after firing about 35 rounds (Probably half of a cartridge on a blowback pistol) and the sudden pressure release blew the seal out of its holder. I was able to put it back in place with some forceps.

Thanks for the tip on 30wt non-detergent oil.
