I took the concealed course over the weekend. The class was very informative and seemed more like a round table discussion than an actual class. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend others to the 5 arrows class.

That is correct, but keep in mind that not all states accept permits held by non-residents.

There are 6 states that do not recognize the AZ permit when held by a Californian, including Colorado, Michigan, Florida, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire.

This class qualifies for Utah (which gives you Washington) and Florida (which is basically identical to AZ, but more expensive), and Oregon (need to apply in person and not every county issues non-res)

If you have no intention of travel to Florida, then getting AZ and Utah opens up as many states as possible without having to travel to the state to apply.

Colorado is a major bummer.
They do not recognize any non-resident permits, and they do not recognize the California permit.
