    Timeline: FL Non-Resident CCL

Just wanted to share my timeline for FL Non-Resident CCL.

    10/15/22 to 10/16/22: 16-hour CCW training
10/17/22: Applied online through their website, included training certificate. Requested fingerprint card. Paid $55.
10/25/22: Received fingerprint card in the mail
10/26/22: Walked in to OC Sheriff's Office in Santa Ana for ink fingerprint. Think it was $5 per card. I did two cards just in case.
10/26/22: Dropped off cards and check for $42 to USPS shipped First Class mail.
    11/7/22: Check cashed
    11/15/22: Application approved
11/23/22: Received card in the mail!

CA OC CCW still in progress.

      That was quick!

I mailed in my application, and they received it on 1/24/23, and the check cashed the next day.

I looked up my status today:

Your license was issued on 02/08/2023. Please allow up to 15 business days for your license to be printed and mailed. If you do not receive your license within that timeframe, please contact us via live chat or call our Public Inquiry Center at (xxx)xxx-xxxx for additional information.

      Two weeks?!?!

CA CCW training will meet requirements as well as DD214.

While I included a copy of my CCW, I met the actual training requirement by including a copy of my "CCW Qualification" Certificate, which importantly had my instructor's NRA Certified Handgun Instructor # on it.

The hardest part was finding a nearby PD that rolled prints. Fortunately I read in a different thread that Cerritos College PD would do walk-ins for $15 (bring your own card).
