Traveling from CA to Oregon- do I have it right?

I did searching guys, I think I understand correctly but would like to make sure.

I have CA CCW. Not recognized by Oregon. The way I read their laws there:

    Open carried is allowed
Without a CCW (that they recognize) in a vehicle it has to be inaccessible

Am I right that once I cross the border I can tuck in my shirt, wearing an OWB holster, and I'm good to go, except in my vehicle? Actually going to a small town so feel ok just locking it up once I'm there. I just want to know if I am correct on the laws.

    Thanks all

go online to the city of klamath falls
get a ccw through them easy-peasy. problem solved.

not sure about open carry. most states reserve that for only those who live there.
and along the I5 corridor and closer to portland, the more you will be hated and arrested for just liking guns.

      Close.

Klamath Falls (per Oregon law) requires you appear in person for an interview and fingerprinting.

Go online and get the details. Schedule an appointment (Tuesdays IIRC) after your appointment they mail your permit in about 4-6 weeks.

So you won't have it the first trip but will from there on out. They do/did allow Cal CCW holders to skip the training requirement

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

I got a 4 year permit in Klamath Falls. Including a holiday weekend I had it from start to finish and in my pocket in under two weeks.

            AFAIK...

Oregon has open carry, but local cities/counties can ban it for people who do not have a valid OR carry permit.

Open carry is banned in the cities of Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, Oregon City, Salem, and Independence.

If part of the handgun is concealed, then it's not considered "open carry".
The entire handgun/holster needs to be openly carried/displayed.
