    Nevada renewal - same Sheriff?

For a Nevada CCW, i know generally you have to apply to the sheriff where you took the training, and renewals are the same.

But, are you allowed to get your initial ccw for example from Las Vegas and then do the renewal class and application in Reno (different sheriff)?

    thanks for any info.

    AFAIK...

If you are a NV resident, then yes as long as you obtain the NV CCW training in the county you are renewing in and your NV DL has an address in the new county.

If you are a non-resident of NV, then no.

Slightly off-topic but I might as well ask here, is there much benefit to a NV non-resident permit anymore? Now that they accept AZ non-res permits, it seems like the easier-to-get AZ permit would be more ideal. I guess NV does add Minnesota to the list of states you can carry in, if that's important to you

Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

In order to be covered under the Federal GFSZ laws exemption?
The CCW exemption for the Federal GFSZ laws only applies to permits issued by the State in which the GFSZ is located in. [18 USC 922(q)(2)(B)(ii)]

          Fair point, hadn't considered that.
