    Other non resident CCW

My questions is if you already have Utah CCW that now can carry in Nevada and Washington State, why bother getting Arizona permit since it almost the same. I don't see any advantage. My opinion what matter most is California Permit and Utah would be enough in my wallet. Please let me know if Arizona is a better permit than the Utah? I use to have Utah, Arizona, and Texas once before when I use to live there. Now since am in California I kept the Utah Non resident and California only.

If you go to Arizona, it is better to have a permit issued by Arizona. Be advised that CCW recognition or reciprocity does NOT exempt you from Federal Gun Free School Zones. Only a permit issued by the state you are carrying in exempts you from GFSZ.

That means you cannot be in public within 1000 feet of the boundary of a public, private, or parochial scool with a loaded gun, unless you have a permit issued by the state you are in.

If you never go to AZ, no big deal. If you do, why gamble with your rights and freedom when you can get it by mail for $80 for 5 years?

The same goes for Nevada. I have a CA and AZ permit, and NV recognizes AZ permit - but I still maintain my NV permit because I visit frequently. I like to gamble in Reno and Vegas, but I do not gamble with GFSZ violations.

Is there a documented case anywhere of Joe Citizen with a non resident permit being arrested for driving through, changing a tire, getting gas or any other off property passer by situation in a GFSZ?

Do you need to take training classes conducted by instructors in those specific states? Or can a CCW training course in CA be used to meet the requirement for other states? Noob here...
