    Going to Arizona

California resident going to Arizona in a couple weeks. Have my Arizona concealed weapons permit, and will either take a Shield 9mm or Sig P238 in holster.
Too old to be stupid (I hope), anything I need to consider when I travel?
First time in this situation. I know there are bars or restaurants that won't allow, but can any of you give me a bit more info?
    Thanks,

You can LOC or conceal. Just watch out for private establishments that have no firearms signs in them. That's about it. carry safely and enjoy the great free state of Arizona!

If the establishment that sells alcohol for consumption (bars, restaurants, etc) has a posted "no guns" sign, then you can not legally carry within.

Also, it's not legal to carry on school/college property.

And you will need to check with each Indian Reservation to see if they honor the AZ CCW permit.

This might sound odd, but take a day and just OC.

I know someone here will flame spray me for saying that but I think doing it at least once is good. Yes, everyone from AZ will know you are from out of state, some will think you are stupid, but you will quickly come to understand that NO ONE CARES.

Seriously. Don't hide it but don't be overly conspicuous. Do whatever you plan on doing that day (except those that would be illegal with a gun on you). Its an eye opener and I've done it myself in AZ and other free states. It makes you realize how silly the situation is here in CA but it also gives you some experience with something completely different that you simply can not do once you cross back over that imaginary line we call a border.

Never thought about the indian reservation thing. Will have to check into that.

When I ride the bike through AZ I sometimes keep my G19 in a leg rig on my lower right thigh. The only looks I ever get are smiles and a thumbs-up sign. Life in a free state.
