OR ccw - amount of time needed

Hey guys, it's a bit last minute, but I just realized that I have an opportunity to apply for my OR CCW since I'm driving to Idaho on vacation tomorrow. I wouldn't have time to stop tomorrow, but possibly on Friday on my way home I could. Does anyone know how much time the application process is, and if there's a county not too far out of the way to go to to apply? Malheur county only issues non resident permits to people living in states that border it, so I would have to drive at least one more county over - Klamath falls area maybe?

If it takes too long to apply I might skip it this trip because I have my son with me and I would still have to get all the paperwork together and I don't know that I'll have time before I leave. It was just one of those things that hit me last minute.

    Thanks!

Grant County has no problems issuing to CA residents (I have one).

See their website for more info: http://grantcountysherifforegon.com/...oncealed-carry
You think you know, but you have no idea.

I originally went up to Grant Co. to get my OR permit. I just did my renewal through Klamath Co. It only took 10 min. to process my permit!

I would give them a call...talk to Stephanie if you can. She was very pleasant and helpful to deal with.

Thanks guys. It looks like even Klamath might be a little too far out of the way this trip. Lake county looks to be the next closest county, and even that adds an extra 2.5 hrs to the drive. I emailed them just to see, but it looks like this will have to wait for the next trip most likely.

Heather Eversole is the administrative assistant at the Lake County Sheriff's Office. She will take care of you.
heversole@co.lake.or.us I had a Ore. CCW years ago then moved to the PRK, A few years ago I strolled into the Lake Co. S.O. and Heather found me in the system and treated my application as a renewal. So Lake
county likes out of state money. It was a very clean deal.
