    UPDATE:

Right out of the box, the GLOCK holster fit perfectly, sliding in and out with just the right tension. Not too loose, not too tight.

As noted in the OP, my LC9 Holster arrived a little too snug, even at the tension screw's loosest setting. Yesterday I noticed some premature holster wear on the slide of my LC9. Not happy about such bad wear only a few weeks in.

After doing some research, it turns out that a holster can be made to fit correctly simply by taking a hair dryer to it, which is what I did. I pointed a hairdryer at the areas of concern for about 2min, and the holster heat up enough so that you one could then carefully manipulate the shape.

Now my LC9 fits in the holster perfectly, I should have done this in the first place

Out of my 6 holsters for my M & P Shield, Kestrel is my daily go to holster unless I'm not wearing a belt. In that case it's my DeSantis Super Fly for sweat pants and shorts. Love both of them! The only 2 I use anymore. The rest are in a drawer!

Do you have a preference between the 1-piece and 2-piece holsters?

Their functionality is exactly the same. The 2 piece will be thicker very slightly at the overlapping point, but I do not notice.

Aesthetically, the 2 piece looks fancier because of the Rivets.

I have one of these for my shield. They're nicely constructed, and cheap. The only thing I'd suggest if someone gets one is to run your finger around the opening and check for sharp edges. I had to lightly sand down one of the inside edges because it was causing some wear to the frame.
