Good, quality product though. Just don't work for me. I can't say that they were POS, ugly, out of spec or anything, just not good for me.
Interestingly I haven't had that problem with mine. I did have to get used to aiming them vs. the traditional three dot, but do like them. Have no problem seeing them in low light, during IDPA matches or in those exercises where I am using my weapons mounted like. Certainly a step up from my fiber optic sights. I have mine mounted on a 4" barrel M&P .40 S&W.

I'm pretty sure if they had a stupid-power glow in the dark paint, that's fluorescent like the trijicon HD, and a more substantial rear sight line, they'd be amazing.

I could've tried to do something like that, until the front went into orbit over pala. That really aggravated me LOL. I have meprolight's heading my way, and the stock sights back on.

Transitioning to the XS sights coming from the standard 3 dots is rarely ever automatic. I have found that it takes at least 200 rounds of practice before things begin to come together.

          Amen.

Doesn't make it any easier when your bouncing between guns with the XS and traditional 3 dot sights either.

HopetonBrown - your posts across the forum always seem to insist upon only what works for you. Quit Scrooging around. You have expressed your opinion many times in the thread already.

You don't have to keep coming back over and over calling people masochists, how many people you don't know who use XS Sights ... there is no value in these posts.

If you think that one cannot effectively use the XS Sights to stop a threat, you are very wrong. The lack of ability to hit a target with these Sights is not in its Design ... it's the Shooter that has not practiced enough with it.

All of this negativity is all in your mind.

And lastly - to respond to your comment: "I don't know anyone who doesn't use a 1 dot set up." --- you must not know many people. There is a large population of shooters that use a 1-dot set up with blacked-out rear sights.

Hopetonbrown, I like the test set.

I have shot the draw and 6 shots against 6 targets test, but I like your bulls eye test.

The metrics of course are the only way to know what works. I learned that in racing. What feels fast more often than not isn't. Data doesn't lie, but familiarity will reduce times so the tests should really be run back to back in reverse order.

I don't have time to respond to your inquisitions. Or maybe I'm just not as intelligent enough. Feel free to have the last word, since you do seem to have the shooting thing all figured out, right?

                  Good luck.

I took an inexperienced friend out shooting yesterday. I let him shoot my M&P with Straight 8 trijicons and my G30 with XS sights. He couldn't hit didily with the M&P even at 3 yards,(no it isn't the gun)I then gave him the G30 and he was accurate(enough)out to 7 yards. I find myself that I acquire the target quicker and am more accurate using the XS system. I'll be using XS on all my guns.
