    Training Aid

I've tried several laser training units and recently got Laser Ammo LE Kit: https://www.laser-ammo.com/SureStrik...E-Edition.html

The kit has .223, 9mm, 40 and .45... without going into the details of how it works (description in thread and videos on their site) - I can say it's a great option for dry fire practice.

Of course it's not as good as live fire practice - but it's a convenient way to get frequent practice drawing from concealment and getting visual of shot placement.

the system works very well and each caliber sleeve fits perfect (I've tried 9, 40 and 45)... I haven't used the .223 yet (haven't taken the time to get rifles out)... they also sell 308 and 12 gauge adapters (which I got as well, but haven't used yet).

The machining is excellent, tolerances are very good... I'm very impressed with the entire system.

I got it on sale at DVOR (no longer available) - I don't have links to the best deals - but it's worth a Google search for anyone looking for a well designed quality laser system for in home practice. And with the different caliber adapters, it's much more cost effective than any other system I'm aware of.

looks like something to have to practice with.

of course live fire is the best. this can help like you stated for draw practice and where your shot will hit.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

I use the LaserLyte system of cartridges and targets along with a SIRT pistol - http://nextleveltraining.com/product_list with red/red lasers.

I have SIRT bolt... good system for AR, since you have have to use charging handle each time - but you don't get the tactile feel from trigger... I haven't used their pistol - but I'm sure its good...

since I got the SureStrike Laser Ammo system, I don't use the SIRT anymore (will sell it eventually)...

DVOR has the kits on sale again - several options...

same as mentioned in my OP, it requires log-in which you can do direct at DVOR.com - or by using this link (which is a referral credit link): http://www.dvor.com/s/6o3mo6

I've been very pleased with the multi caliber kit - I use it with all pistol calibers as well as 5.56, 308 and 12 gauge... for the versatility, the price is worth it (imo)
