Glock 19 CA mag life risks

I?m applying for my CCW with a Glock 19 but Glock CA 10 rounders are poorly designed (based on my experience to date) and risk my life. In past used grandfathered db stack mags at range and not one feeding problem ever with flat points, hp, anything. 3000+ rounds over years in that 19 of course always loaded only with 10 rounds or less. Great reliability is why I put my 19 on my ccw application; I thought I could count on it 100% to feed and go bang. So knowing I?d be under scrutiny should I ever need to defend myself I started using single stack 10 rounders (yes with the newer followers Glock sent me after having countless unreliable FTF issues). I own 10 of them, none are 100% reliable like the db stacks. I?m still having FTF issues with flats and hps and frankly realize those mags are a life liability and suck but for fmjs so do I use my reliable ?old? mags and only load 10 rounds knowing HP?s will feed, use FMJ?s, Hornady critical defense, HST?s or like ?pointy? HPs in these sometimes mags? Put a rivet in the db stackers restricting them and possibly hanging up the springs operation? Such a shame as the design due to politics is life threatening. They are just unreliable for certain bullets. I?d rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 but don?t want trouble as any defense ?event? would be a nightmare and result in heavy scrutiny on my equipment so I?m torn that I have to risk my life using inferior mags. Buying specific self defense rounds may be ok but what?s the best solution? Switch pistols? I own a P01 too which feeds everything. J frame too works. I put all 3 on my app. Really sucks because trusted that 19 so much and do but not with those ss mags praying the mags feed the ?right ammo? when needed just because I live in CA. Maybe it?s a lawyer or DA question but what do ya?ll think? Everything is stock oem btw. Those followers were replaced 3 months ago by Glock and helped cut the FTF issues but still bad. Polished feed ramp too but the Flats and HPs dead head on the base of the feed ramp. It?s my life here so it ought to work right 100% as it does with all my db stackers, all bullet types. I can?t be the only person with this issue in CA.

Use your normal capacity mags. End of discussion. Im rocking 21 rounders in my p320, don't see why Id limit myself to 10 when standard capacity are legal.
I have yet to see one case where someone was found guilty in a self defense shooting just because they used standard mags. Its FUD.

My opinion is not legal advice or a prediction on what will happen.

All, as in EVERY magazine i own was purchased legally, both before the initial bans and during freedom week.

Enforcement of the law that would change their status is presently prohibited.

Therefore, i carry the magazines that give me the greatest advantage in any defensive use of my firearms.

          Same with my house carbine.

If you have grandfathered mags, they're legal. Since those are your most reliable ones just use them, unless your IA has specific policies against mags that hold more than 10 rounds.

IIRC, the allow you to carry 10+ mags.

You just run the risk of them being confiscated due to nuisance. Otherwise, carry on.

I've shot thousands of rounds with 10-round factory Glock mags for my G17 and have NEVER had any issue with the magazines regardless of the ammo I've run through them including different brands of hollow points.

Same, I own the 19, 17 and 34. Before freedom week, I used the OEM 10 round mags. No issues. OP, you realize the 10 rd mags are the same mold as standard mags?

Thanks for the replies. I know the outer shell mold is the same for the 10 rounders or sure look so but they put a rail on the insides of the CA restricted mags so they single stack. Somehow they are just different. IDK? How can I post a picture via my i phone? Happens with just those mags on flats and bigger holed HPs. You can see on the bullet faces 1/3 down the edge mark of the bottom of the feed ramp. Sucks because I bought 10 of them, then had to replace all the followers hoping it was a solution. Some HPs work fine but not my berrys flat point range ammo reloads and not big hole HPs.

Here is a typical picture of the FTF. Only with those G19 10 rounders. Never even had it happen with a 17 10 rounder so go figure. Even tried it with another slide and barrel on the 19 and same hang up issue. Stock Glock extended mag release. Don't really want to modify the fronts of the mag lips hoping for better tilt up either.

Flathead? Those are generally .40 cal. Who's flathead 9mm? I also have shot various HPs in all my Glocks, no issue.
