I have a Taser Pulse in the car.

I carry a knife (with built-in glass breaker tip and seatbelt cutter) and pepper spray on person.

      Exactly! I don?t know why anyone would consider a knife a ?non-lethal?.

For me, my knife is for when someone is going for my gun or if something happened to my gun. That?s why I choose one with a glass breaking tip, I can use the tip as a sharp point and create time for me to deploy the blade. A fixed blade is better but I don?t want to be walking around with a knife showing as it?s against the law to conceal a fixed blade knife.

Yeah. A knife could be a valuable back up close quarters weapon when fighting to make space to deploy your gun, or while fighting for retention of your gun.

The most useful way I could see a knife being used for a ccw holder is as an off hand weapon. One where you use it to make space in a clinch. But, like you said, a fixed blade would be better, and we can't carry those concealed, so a kubaton/point weapon like you said could make sense.

Ideally, I'd want a fixed punch dagger near the 11oclock location.

I always have pepper spray with me in addition to my CCW. Gives me options.

Be mindful of the blade length limitations imposed by many municipalities when carrying a knife and container size limitations when carrying pepper spray. Committing crimes while unaware is a real PITA.

I never heard of pepper gel until now. Is it better than pepper spray? I guess I can just look it up too lol.

Gel is less likely to blow back or splatter on you on windy days. If you can get pepper spray in gel form I'd say that it is preferrable.

It?s also easier to control the spray of the pepper gel.

                        Question,

Does a multi-tool with a lockable blade run afoul of the prohibited on school grounds list?

Knives that are prohibited on these school premises are:
                        Dirks and daggers
Knives with blades longer than 2 ?”
                        Folding knives with locking blades
                        Ice picks
                        Razors with unguarded blades
                        Razor blades or box cutters
Sometimes a gun is just a gun.

If you have enough training you are the non lethal alternative.

I use and sell Reflex Protect. However, it is not OC:

For OC, I usually use Sabre.

                                Non Lethal Options

Non lethal is an excellent alternative when looking to defend yourself. Not every person is comfortable with causing great bodily harm to another person, but there is an instinctual feeling of self-preservation.

We understand this feeling and as such, we've chosen to carry multiple Byrna products in our store. Byrna is a company that makes products for one to protect themselves in whichever way they see fit.

                                We carry:

Byrna Kinetic Launcher - A non-lethal projectile launcher. This C02 powered pistol is the ultimate alternative to a firearm. No permit need to purchase or to carry. Multiple options of projectiles to choose from; eco-kinetic target/training rounds, kinetic defense rounds for personal defense, pepper ball rounds made to act like pepper spray, and tear gas projectiles available as well. Kits available at different power thresholds, multiple accessories available, all at different price points. Available in store.

Less Lethal Kinetic 12G - A primer only kinetic slug-like kinetic projectile inside of a 12 gauge shotgun shell. Without gunpowder this is 16 times quieter making it safe to fire without ear protection with the added benefit of no perceived recoil. Available in store and online.

Bad Guy Repellent - A mix of pepper spray and tear gas, 5.4M Scoville rating, ultraviolet chemicals, and available in a large size with a carry clip or a smaller two pack, both available at the same price. Available in store.

Banshee - A personal alarm keychain. Clip onto your clothing, backpack, purse, belt, where you may need it. Emits a loud high pitched alarm to bring attention to those around and ward off a would-be attacker. A bright LED strobe light visible at distance as well as rapid and bright enough to disorient said attacker. Available in store.
