Not sure if I want iwb or owb for sig p365. Looking at Urban Carry leather lock. Anyone have experience with them? Thanks

That is the rig I use. Seems secure. When putting it on, I leave the 365 in the holster and install on the belt. The leather on the sides seems more forgiving to my body without pinching the love handle. I have used kydex and always pinched my excess.
May I always be the type of person my dog thinks I am

I ordered from Urban Carry recently, they answered my emailed question on a Sunday, so I ordered and it shipped right away despite it being an odd holster (and certainly not for a P365).

I am satisfied with the quality, although I have already had to adjust the retention so I don't know if it slipped or the leather got worked. If this continues I'll just email them again and see if some sort of loctite is needed.

I originally bought the IWB for my 365, and a month or two later bought the OWB. I like both holsters, and use both regularly. Being a bit round around the waistline these days, I prefer OWB, but at times find I need the IWB depending on what I am wearing. OWB if I am in a jacket or suit, IWB for jeans and a t-shirt. It has the best retention of all my holsters so far, I have a footlocker full of various holsters I have bought over the years.

The 365 is not on the roster as I see it. Wuz up with all the ones evidenced by this forum ? Am I mistaken ?

When I lived in Cali my Dad, who lives in Nevada, bought me one for my Birthday as a gift. He had to have a Nevada FFL send it to a Cali FFL, then it sat in jail, then I received it.

Your comment raises a question. Are there any IAs that will not allow off roster handguns on a CA CCW? Back when PPQs first came out and I did my first SSE, I had no problem listing it on my CCW permit.

I do believe there are some IA's that dont allow off roster handguns on a CA CCW. I DO NOT know which ones. My IA allows it, but I have read others dont. If you have a question about your IA, I'd recommend you go to the IA specific thread or contact your IA and ask.

I had a concern briefly about this: If you IA allows off roster weapons on your CCW, and you have official contact with an LEO in an IA that doesn't and the officer "expresses their displeasure" with the status of your handgun... What is the best way to diffuse the situation?

My best guess is to calmly explain that there is no PC prohibiting your actions, and that your IA doesn't have rules against it. If that isn't successful, offer to lock it up. Once you are clear of the situation, put it back on. Then contact your IA and explain the situation before you have to defend the situation.

Anyone have better ideas? I have rarely seen anyone win while arguing with LEO on the side of the road. And with the permitting system being what it currently is, I see little upside to becoming a PITA to your IA. Be polite, and if necessary address it in court (although its hard to see it coming to that).

Some IA's absolutely allow off-roster handguns. I have a Glock 45 and a Sig P320 on my CCW.

I carry my 365 in a leather Urban Carry. I like it a lot. The pistol feels secure. I like the feel of leather and dislike kydex.

Thanks Guys, Base on your recommendations I went to Urban carry website and i liked what I saw, so I bought me a holster for my CZ P-01. I carry my 365 on a Mitch Rosen exclusive Series.
