    Best Lockbox/Safe for Truck

I anticipate obtaining my CCW soon and recognize there will be times when I need to enter a facility where concealed carry is prohibited. So, I will lock up my pistol in my truck. What is the best firearm lockbox/safe for a truck? Why? Thanks!

OP, how would you define "best"? Is money an issue? Do you want keyed, electronic, combo, bio? How about size? Does the safe need to be discreet? Some are a bit obvious.

Reasonably secure and easily accessible are the the center console vaults.

All make boxes but maybe not for your specific vehicle. You'll need to check.
There are probably some other companies too. They're generally big enough to hold a holstered gun which means less chance of ND's since you're not exposing the trigger each time you need to pull it out of the holster to put into a smaller box. The vault is also right next to you so you don't have to go fishing around in the backseat or trunk. They're not exactly cheap but not super expensive either. YMMV.

Personally I went with keyed SnapSafes and placed them under the passenger safe with a cable lock.

Might not be the "best" which is always up for debate. It fits my needs so I'm happy

On Amazon, I got 2 keyed alike for $80... CDOJ approved

Locker Down console vault for my Ram 3500. $300+ with keyed entry. Fits a full size holstered pistol. I can stuff my holstered G19, wallet, and spare mag in there. Personally I wish that I would've spent the extra money for a combo lock. But overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Under seat box fits my Ram truck. Just using the cable retention.

I know that this a old post...
If your back seat lifts up like mine in my chevy you can use a nice safe bolted to the floor board.
                  Just measure the space...
Unfortunately in my car I had to use a center console vault..
I don't like it as much as the safe.
Reholstering is easy from the safe

Locker Down for me works and from what I see on their site are the ones that have the most applications for different types of vehicle make and models.

Im running a console vault in my truck. its the half sized one can still stuff my wallet and extra mags in it. Love how it is really secured and bolted down without any space for my tiny fingers to try pry or wiggle. I got the combo code option, instead of keyed.
