Hi guys,
I'm hoping with the experience in this group that I am not the first person to come across this question.
I've tried various searches but can't find any information which helps me on this topic. With SB 918 in mind, I am thinking more and more about how I might deal with a scenario where I am going about my lawful permit approved carry but, unplanned, hit some situation where I have to discreetly remove my gun and lock it securely in the vehicle.
I see many sites and videos that talk about under seat gun vaults/safes/lock boxes but nothing that seems to obviously work with the make/model of SUV that I have. I have considered something custom installed in the "trunk" area of the SUV especially as I have a lot of concealed space that might have been occupied by a spare tire at one time but is redundant with the modern run flat tires. An obvious downfall here is being seen to stow/unstow in public.
Before I possibly reinvent the wheel, has anyone any good suggestions or best practice recommendations on anything that might work for me or alternatively somebody that I could work with (ideally in San Diego) to come up with some solution that is both legal and effective.
TIA of any help.
