PS, I have a few Nightingale rigs, this is the one I have for OWB 1911, a Griffon V

It is Wickett & Craig rough-out black cowhide, so the full grain is turned to the inside against the gun, and special order Horween Shell Cordovan (aka horse butt) reinforcement panel and belt loops.

These take 7 - 8 months to come in, but they are worth the wait

In the first photo it is on a custom Beltman horse hide belt with internal stiffener and double stitching.

I have an MTR one that's pretty nice. They make what is, IMO a nice IWB/OWB combo holster you can order with lots of options. Lined, thumb break/brake(sp?) retention flap, double stitching etc. for a quasi-reasonable price.

That all said, the one above is really nice though. I'd not seen those before. I may be needing another holster here shortly. I'll have to look into those.

I like the DW bob-tailed commander too!

Second Nightingale. Superb work, but you may have to wait a while. His holsters and belts are excellent.
Milt Sparks is great as well.

Another who makes beautiful holsters for 1911s is Leatherhead Custom Holsters. I believe his Facebook page is public so anyone can view.
Here is a link to his photos.

Bitteroot Gunleather also makes very nice holsters, with seemingly unlimited options.

I've been happy with a Galco Fletch for my 686. Never tried one for a semi auto.

              Andrews Custom Leather

I got one of their "basic" MacDaniel II holsters but OP is wanting more customization, check out their exotic material stuff if that is what you're wanting. I'm sure they can do custom color thread as well.

When, I carry my 1911, my go to is the Fletch.

No customizing, available in black or brown...

Not a high end leather creation for BBQ carry, but an excellent choice for those seeking an OWB, thumb break, CCW/hunting holster...

The go on sale now and then for much less than the big name custom holster makers.

Check out Garrett Industries if you are willing to do Kydex. They have a kydex outer layer with a leather interior layer. Really solid stuff.

Second on the Wright holster. You can also get them in different skins. Great for those Sunday BBQ carries.
