Concealment Express IWB Kydex Holster Review

I recently got an IWB kydex holster from Concealment Express for my MP Shield and I wanted to tell you about my experience with this holster. I have seen people posting about this company on Instagram and Facebook groups so I wanted to give it a try. It is available on EBay, Amazon or directly through their website. Their holsters come in multiple color options. The holster I got is the Raptor Black. Their holsters vary between 34-50 dollars depending on the version you get.

The Raptor Black color has a leathery look to it; this holster comes very light at 2.6 ounces. It is very nicely molded with smooth edges.

This holster has a very deep channel to make sure higher sights don’t get snagged when drawing. The trigger guard is completely covered and can’t be accessed. I did have concerns about the magazine release not being covered but it has not given me any issues. I wished the back side of the holster was a little higher to cover up to the end of the slide but not a big deal.

I do like how the holster has adjustments on retention and cant adjustment. You can adjust the retention of the holster with a Philips screwdriver and adjust the screw next to the trigger guard. Cant can be adjusted by loosening the two Philip screws on the belt clip by loosening, adjusting belt clip and retighten. It goes from 0 degree to 15 degree cant depending on how you want to carry it.

Thanks for spending time to read this and if you want to pick up one of these be sure to visit their website. One thing that really impressed me outside of the holster was their service and communication. Rather than waiting a few weeks to get my order like most holsters companies, my order was shipped the same day and to my doorsteps in less than a 3 days. Holster comes with a limited lifetime warranty for materials and workmanship.

How does it conceal (in my experience the clip being attached to the widest part of the holster tends to make it more "thick" and stick out more)? How was the comfort? What position are you wearing it?

I don't have any issues concealing it, but i been a sticky user usually but this is not bad concealmentwise. Since its not tuckable, I have a shirt over it so I don't think it's noticeable imo. I'm usually at 5 o clock position, comfort wise so far so good. I been using it daily

The clip being attached to the thickest part of the holster should not make it stick out more. The clip is on the outside of the pants, the 8mm of kydex is directly against the fabric. The idea that the clip on either side of the gun makes the holster slimmer is psychological perception not real on a quality built holster. The center mounted clip allows more adjust ability, which ultimately means better fit, greater comfort.

If the OP is happy that is of course what matters. For me the nits I would pick with the holster is the same as what the OP already mentioned, like the gun fully covered both sides. Makes it more comfortable, snag resistant, less wear on clothing, and it protects the gun, especially models with safeties on both sides, etc. I like the mag release covered as well, and if the OP is right handed would have expected it to be.
My issue is if your going to have Kydex it should be tuckable. This clip type isn't.

Mag release hasn't been an issue but would be nice to have that and the slide covered a bit higher.

You convinced me of that at the Ontario Chinese zapper and beef jerky show Art, but I think it only applies to those of us that tuck our shirts in right? A lot of guys never tuck, especially in casual situations.
Buy made in USA whenever possible.

Only time I tuck is when I'm in a suit or at an event like a wedding or formal affair. I use my aliengear in those situations

Well the Aliengear works fun un-tucked too though right?

I'm thinking the advantage with something like this one is the ability to easily remove the whole shebang when going into prohibited places without unholstering the weapon. The fact I carry a Glock factors into it for sure.

                  Still learning here...

It does work ubtucked but my aliengear has an xd shell and I hardly carry my xd and correct it's too much of a hassle for me to put it on and off.

This is main reason I like holsters with one clip or sticky holsters.

I quite liked the kydex iwb holster model from Concealment Express, it's comfortable and convenient. In addition a number of other brands as well: CYA Supply Co., Comp-Tac. You can find many reviews on the market online to choose a best kydex iwb holster.
