I have heard from women that concealed carry purses work well for carrying but not so well as a purse. Plus they are not very fashionable. It seems to me that a product that allowed a woman to use any purse they already have as a carry option would be a winner. Is this accurate? What features/options would you like to see offered by this product?

As for purses not being fashionable I would tend to disagree, we stock both locking and non-locking women's purses designed by some pretty fashionable design houses. Really depends on how much you want to spend. Even Coach has a concealed carry purse it's just not in their catalog and available only to known clients.
There are not less than 10 different companies that make both regular non gun handbags and concealed carry handbags, ranging in price form $65 to over $10k.
The major names won't generally put their name on the purse due to liability.
Were seeing more locking purses, because of the potential for liability if you make a purse and a child, someone with Alzhiemers or dementia gets into it. One would think only the gun owner would be at fault, but the designer is also being looked at for negligent design.
We don't carry the coach purse, but if you want to see some of the other brands including the Packin' Neat your welcome to visit our store in Mission Viejo, our e-store www.packinfurdefense.com or see as at a gun show. We will be in Del Mar, Orange County, and Del Mar in October.
Oh and by the way, a well make concealed carry purse is indistinguishable from a regular purse. The gun in no way interferes with the function of the purse.Last edited by grantar2; 09-14-2016, 3:28 PM. -
A product that allows a woman to carry in any purse already exists and it's patented and well accepted in the industry it's called Packin' Neat, made in Florida.

Maybe a sticky holster placed on the side of the inside of the purse would work?Comment

There are two places where Sticky Holsters really don't work. One is in a tube pocket like you find in some sweatshirts, where it is too easy for the gun and the holster to migrate away from each other. The second place is a purse or a backpack where the holster isn't closely bounded by a pocket which rarely happens in a purse. Just don't want to risk keys, lipstick, chap stick, pen getting to that trigger. If the gun is not held perfectly up and down in a vertical orientation, a failure could occur where the gun is muzzling people around the owner.
When working with a loaded gun, a round in the chamber it is of the utmost importance to use the right tool (carry system) for the situation.
Those who want to experiment with some options are welcome to bring their guns to our shop, or gun show display and try them out.Last edited by grantar2; 09-15-2016, 8:35 PM.Comment

I got my wife one from here last year, it has a Velcro removable holster in a pocket she can keep her hand in. The company also said they'd replace the purse for free if she ever shot through it as well.
