Raven Concealment Vanguard 2-Anyone use this?

I saw the Raven Concealment Vanguard 2 recently. First time I have ever saw something like this. I'm still trying to determine if I like it or hate it...

Does anyone use it? I see pros and cons with it:
    Pro:
    • Allows me to carry a thicker gun since there is no holster thickness
    • Fine if you are like me and always have an undershirt on under your shirt (your gun would be up against the undershirt and not your skin)

    Cons:
    • No one-hand reholster
    • Even with two hands I would be slightly concerned about AD

    Any thoughts?

There are a million holsters out there to try out. My Supertuck was a little pricey but I have never been sorry for the expense. I can wear it all day with my G-19 and I hardly know it's there.

      So a couple of questions.
      1) where in California are you located?
      2) What is your normal style of clothing, skinny jeans, tucked / untucked shirt, what?
      3) What kind of gun are you trying to conceal?
      4) Where do you plan to carry, appendix, and why?

There are a number of reasons why trigger guard holsters are a bad idea for on body carry, but realistically it is more important to ask what kind of carry problem your trying to solve?

It also begs the question if your worried about carrying in a regular holster, where are you carrying your spare ammo?

I use the vanguard with a glock 19. Its my preferred way to carry because its the most comfortable (for me). Appendix carry.

Not my style... I prefer actual holster that covers the gun.

I never said I was worried about carrying in a regular holster. I have a Shield 9 in a IWB holster now. That thing is so slim that it pretty much disappears under my shirt no problem.

I a looking at getting something else, and about everything else is thicker. I had my eye on a Glock 30SF, which is a good +.35" thicker than the Shield, so I was theorizing that if you lose the holster thickness and go with this product, the extra thickness of a 30SF would be cancelled out.

I live in SoCal. I am a little on the tall side, normal weight, with broad shoulders. Work outfit is suitpants with shirt and tie, but the Shield is perfect for this. On my off-days, I am looking to carry something larger, which is why I am looking at the Raven

Reholstering would require removing the holster from the belt.

I wear one everyday even without an undershirt @ appendix. I don't have any problems with it.

Another plus side is it's attached to my nightstand with a lanyard & carabiner.

A good way to carry a full size gun w/o additional bulk from even a kydex holster (much more comfortable too with a reverse cant).

              Eta: & tuck able....

I have this. I like it, but rarely use it anymore. Only because I really like my Garrett SLS holster.

Works very well, and is extremely comfortable. Makes for a really low profile. Holds gun very securely.

But don't even think about re-holstering without removing the Vanguard from the belt.

FYI, they are only $35 direct from the Raven website.

Glock 30SF is a heavy gun to carry unsuppoted.

Sorry, meant STS (Silent Thunder Slim).

Silent Thunder Holsters were developed by Garrett in 2007. Best leather lined holsters in the marketplace for Conceal Carry, Range, Competition and Training.

This is important. If you aren't already decided on appendix and comfortable with appendix carry I wouldn't get a VG2 (unless you are using it for a tethered nightstand setup)

Yes, do not reholster with the VG2. Take it off, put it on the gun, and then put the gun back on.

So important I'll quote it twice.

I don't carry daily, but I've spent enough time with it that I am comfortable using the Vanguard 2 on my glocks or J-frame.

I like the holster but did not have good luck with mine. Part of it bent rendering it useless.

I thought the VG series from RCS was only for standard frame GLOCKs (17/19/22/23/26/27...), so if you use a larger frame guns like a G30 it would cause some issues.
