They are on sale at our on line store, now, we won't advertise it until next week, as were at the Gang Task Force summit this week and the store is closed.

How does the nylon Nexbelt compare to the leather as far as stiffness for carry? Thinking of adding a nylon for non dress days.

Waiting on my Beltman reinforced leather belt, I expect to get in a week or two. I saw a lot of great reviews about them, and how most people eventually decide that a reinforced belt is the way to go for daily carry.

I have one, no complaints. It's pricey but I don't regret my purchase.

            Go Amish!

F.Y.I., I wear pants in size 36, but ordered the belt in size 42 based on their recommendations. Perfect fit.

While I like the Nexbelt style (ratcheting) I found the Nexbelt brand tactical model much more flexible than I expected.

You can easily roll the "tactical" belt into a tight circle, as they are shipped this way from the factory.

I don't know if any of this brand's belts are actually reinforced, as my ratcheting gun belt from the Glock store is.

The Kore Universal Gun Belt offers the latest in style and function, with an adjustable fit in a stylish package, perfect for IWB or OWB holsters. Order this belt and other Concealed Carry accessories at GlockStore.com today.

The Glockstore belt is, like traditional belts, reinforced to the point that it retains its' shape even when removed.

Yet unlike traditional (thick) leather gun belts, it is thin, dressy and comfortable with just the right amount of give.

I hope the Nexbelts can be upgraded to this style of gun belt, as I also want the casual style nylon gun belt.

My question is why do you want it that stiff. When your wearing the belt do you feel the weapon isn't supported?

I understand the tradition, current generation gun belts follow the path of law enforcement duty belts, going back to the Sam Browne, but like many things we have evolved materials, and our understanding of bio mechanics. We understand significantly more today about clothing nerve interaction and the impact that just your clothing can have on body temperature, nerve damage, impact on organ function. The the entire market led by Under Armor on high tech fabrics, axial movement of waistbands, etc.

What I would like to understand is do you want the Nexbelt to be stiffer because it's what your used to, or because the gun isn't being supported? If you don't feel it's supporting the gun are you carrying IWB or OWB?

Nexbelt got their start in the golf market and a number of pros wear their belts, they understand dynamic motion. What gets missed with a lot of the traditional gun belts are the injuries they cause in part because of the weight of weapons, but on the other side the stiffness that came from trying to make traditional materials work, especially if worn tight. The Nexbelt provides the necessary lateral rigidity to support the weapon when the belt is on the body, yet move with the body to avoid injury. The belt is thick enough to prevent a clip from sliding off causing a holster failure.

An article worth reading. http://www.omagdigital.com/article/T...0/article.htmlhttp://www.menshealth.com/health/can...-physical-harm Tight-fitting belt increase abdominal pressure, making it difficult for gas and food to move downward. Russell Yang, M.D., Ph.D., a professor of gastrointestinal and liver diseases at the Keck School of Medicine at USC. Said in the article Stomach acid goes back up, and you're more likely to suffer heartburn and acid reflux. A tight belt or waist also magnifies bowel discomfort and stomachaches.

According to The Virginia Spine Institute Team, a belt that is too tight can lead to a condition called Meralgia Paresthetica. The symptoms are caused when the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve is compressed; this nerve supplies sensation in the anterior and lateral part of the thigh. Tight belts and clothing can lead to compression of this nerve and presents with numbness and burning pain in the front and outside of the thigh

While the Nexbelt is an attractive and fashionable alternative,

I like/prefer a belt that is reinforced as this spreads the weight of the holster out better and it is less prone to rollover, IMO.

The Kore Belts, which are available in a reinforced gun belt, seem to a excellent combination of style and function. (I own two in black and brown)

Unreinforced nylon web belts, their "tactical" prefixes notwithstanding,

do not meet my expectations based on my experience with this material.

I find that I must over tighten them to achieve a confident and stable holster mount.

The ratchet style belt buckle is clearly an excellent idea for its' sheer adjustability.

This is doubly helpful when you add a holster to the mix, especially IWB.
