    MDJ Custom Holsters

Comparable to crossbreed but lower cost and better options.
Got the appendix carry for my G29SF. They provide a better design with retention screws.

MDJ Custom Holsters, Holsters, IWB holsters, OWB holsters, Hybrid holsters, Concealed carry holsters

Any feedback on noise? Metal vs plastic clips?

My crossbreed is making noise on my hip as I type this.
    WTB - S&W 310 or 610 10MM Revolver.
    WTB - Gen 1 Glocks
    WTB - Ruger P91DC

Use a little leather oil on your Crossbreed and it should improve markedly.

I've tried it all. Including the Linseed oil. The latest suggestion from CB is baby powder. It's really a shame. Everything about their holster is excellent, and then you start moving....

Before you scrap the holster try some nylon clips. Not that I don't want to sell you a new holster, as would some of the other vendors, but a few dollars to try an alternate clip may be worthwhile.

Don't feel bad I have several clients that have left the Crossbreed for this reason, your not alone, but if your otherwise happy it's worth the effort.

If I may, what are you carrying?

Any chance you are going to go to the Ontario Gun Show in a couple of weeks? If your coming I will bring a clip kit and you can try it, and see if that solves the problem.

Sorry to have hijacked the thread.

I'm not convinced it's the metal clips. I think it's everything that comes in to contact with the Horsehide. Such as the rubber spacers between clips and horsehide, the kydex, the gun. Whatever CB does to it or the type of leather they use, it's just noisy. This complaint is across all three styles too. Horsehide, Cowhide, and Cowhide dyed black.

I carry a shield and G26. No Ontario Jewelry Show for me(sorry, couldn't resist).

My MDJ appendix holster is very quiet. What kind of belt do you have?
I'm currently using the crossbreed instructors belt.

Hybrid holster is unnecessarily bulky for a compact auto anyway, but frequently try to solve a clients problem without selling them a new holster if I can. Sorry you won't be at the Ontario gun show, could have had you bring your guns, and let you try on some of the many holster brands we carry. So much nicer when you can try before you buy.
