    Left Handed CCW Men Only

Wanted to see what the most popular guns are for lefties. Interested in how you made your decision, likes and don't likes about the gun. Tell me about your CCW holster as well, and what your likes and dislikes are about it.

Usually carry a 9mm Shield. Also carry a Ruger LC9. LC9 is a little too small for hand, so I'm sometimes bumping the mag release button with the pad of my hand - not good. I use Alien Gear IWB or a Sticky holster. Alien Gear is comfy and secure, but more of a pain to strap on compared to the Sticky.

I have three guns on my permit, S&W M&P 40C, 1911, and a Steyr M40 A1. I carry the Steyr more than any other gun because I hate the trigger on the S&W and the full size 1911 gets heavy after 4-5 hours. The S&W and the Steyr come lefty friendly and my 1911 has an ambidextrous safety installed. Ambi slide lock/releases don't interest me as I'll never use one in a stress shooting situation.

The leather I prefer for the polymer guns is the Crossbreed Supertuck while the 1911 rides in a T&T Gunleather Mike's Special. The Crossbreed is the most comfortable holster that I've ever owned and I've been carrying a long time ( I got my first carry permit in 1982). I don't like Kydex for steel guns as I don't think that they grip steel as well so the 1911 rides in a big leather holster.

I carry my M&P9c the most. You can switch the mag release and it has the slide lock on both sides. I have yet to have any feeding/firing issues. Have well over 2,000 rounds through it.

I have the Stealthgear Onyx holster and it is quiet and comfortable. I often forget that I am wearing it. My horsehide leather holster is too squeaky for my liking. Stealthgear is a little pricey but for something you wear daily, it's worth the extra money.

StealthGearUSA manufactures and designs the most comfortable & breathable concealed carry holsters available today. With 1,000+ of holster options, shop now!

I carry a Glock 19 with alien gear 3.0 IWB at 830-900 o'clock. I also have a Smith and Wesson M&P9. Don't carry it cause it's a full size (gonna wait for a jacket day). It will be holstered in an alien gear OWB. And my last is a Smith and Wesson bodyguard in a Safariland OWB holster.

My primary (lefty) CCW carry guns are Kimber Ultra CDP 2 and a Ruger SR40c..I mostly carry the Kimber. I just like the weight and balance of it, but my Ruger with new springs and firing pin with hogue shorty rubber grip is a fine shooting pistol too. Both with ambi safeties, which I like.

Ususally carry my M&P 9c. Pretty happy with a IWB leather holster from craftholsters.com. Feels better than several kydex options I've tried.

                    Glock or 1911 with ambi-safety.

S&W MP 40c (non Ca) with a Keyhole holster. Being a lefty had nothing to do with my choices though. you learn to adapt to the right world...such as locking the slide.

                          All carried at 9 o'clock

Sig P938 in a sticky holster (I got the Sticky from Packin Fun Defense )

P320 in an Alien Gear 3.0 IWB (EDC)

Hiking etc CZ 75B in Original Alien Gear IWB

I have an Alien Gear OWB that I never use. I don't like the lack of retention, plus it's all over the place unless my belt is really tight.

Got my brother p320... he lefty and he loves it..
He also likes the VP9, but little too big to CC comfortably..
He have no problem with Glock either. They are not left hand friendly like vp9, but no issue..
