    Which night sights for P2000sk?

I just purchased a P2000sk and I'm looking into the best option for an upgrade with the sights. When I carry it will be in a bellyband around 1 o'clock. I don't want anything that will snag when I draw. Any suggestions?

I carry IWB at 5 o'clock with alien gear Cloak Tuck 3. I don't know it's there half the time. I lay on the couch with it on, it's that comfortable. I train and carry condition 3 (loaded unchambered) and absolutely love it.

Condition 3 carry is not a safe way to carry a pistol...

I know everyone has a boner for night sights, but there are few conditions where you'd be able to ID your target but not be able to see your sights. A flashlight makes night sights effectively moot, and you need white light to make sure you're shooting someone that needs to be shot, and what your backstop is.

Training is what you do with a trainer.

But no credible trainer in CONUS would teach condition 3 carry.

Next time you're plinking with condition 3 carry, try it one handed.

Because there is a very good chance your non dominant hand will be busy fending off a fist, knife, club, or grabbing the assailants gun.

You might need a sundial to time yourself.

Meprolight is the OEM for HK's Night Sights.

Most people are happy with them, including myself, I have them installed on 3 of my HK's, including a P2000SK which came with Meprolights from the factory.

Not only are they very good quality and durable, but quite importantly, they retain the original Hold and Point of Aim (POA) intended by HK (Dot on the target).

There are many good night sights out there but if you use anything other than the Meprolights on your HK, it would most likely alter the POA.

Lastly since it was mentioned earlier, the design of the Rear Sight does provide a sturdy ledge that enables you to rack the slide one handed.

You can buy Meprolights for your HK for about $70-$90 online.
