When carrying, what do you do with your cell phone? I happen to have one of those big iPhones and I'm just curious as to what options are out there. And if anyone uses a cell phone carrier/holster to divert attention from carrying?

Phone left pocket screen inboard. I have the same phone and carry it in my back pocket and switch to shirt pocket when I sit. Pistol is IWB at 3:30-4:00.
During work it goes in a horizontal holster that goes through my belt. I can't do IWB while working so a hammerless J frame goes elsewhere."The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."

iPhone 6+ back pocket when standing/walking, shirt pocket or on table/desk when sitting. Always in a spot where I can keep an eye on it and out of reach of the general passers-by.Sorry, not sorry.

Dear autocorrect, I'm really getting tired of your shirt!Comment

I use the backpocket as well.
I also put it in my fanny pack. YES, I SAID FANNY PACK.

Phone is and always has been at 9:00-9:30.
I'm deaf in my right ear, no point in the phone being on the right.
When my permit arrives, my multitool (carried at 4:00) will be a problem. Will likely just pocket it, and nice thing is anyone who knows me is used to seeing an outline under my shirt at 4:00.- Rich

Shouldn't have to divert attention if your holster is doing it's job. However the issue for a lot of us, was we carry our weapon at the 3 0'clock and have for years carried our phone there. Obviously you don't want the phone interfering with a draw. If your phone and gun are in different places shouldn't be an issue.Comment

Maybe off topic. But how do you guys not break your phone's with them in your back pocket? Take it out to sit? Sit on one cheek? Seriously, I'm curious.
I do not mean to hijack this thread.

My boss carries in his left front, even wearing jeans.
It probably helps that he's probably around 5% bodyfat, but there's no way I could pocket carry a phone except in slacks... and then, I'm too much of a creature of habit, so my pocket contents would preclude carrying the phone.
Personal keys in left front, work keys and Case folder right front, Tacoma and work van key in the watch pocket.- Rich

I'm not a phone guy...ie constantly on it, phone at the ready, half to full charge.
But an instructor gave me a scenario that open my eyes that it's always on me when I go out.
Imagine your involved in a shooting for fear of your life. Bad guy you shoot droid the knife, gun, or blunt weapon. His "homies" (instructor's word) tries to remove the weapon (evidence) from the scene. You can't shoot them. What to do? That evidence is crucial. You need a phone with camera/video.Comment
