Hi, I have a 4inch XD9 with a TRL-1 HL and wanted to know what was recommended as a carry holster for it. I've been looking at Bravo Concealment and Raven but they both have decent wait times and I wasn't sure how the all kydex holsters concealed. If anyone has any recommendations or things to consider I would appreciate it. Thanks

Light bearing holster

You didn't specify IWB or OWB. With Gun/Light combo you have, you may be waiting on all manufacturers unfortunately.
Two thumbs up for both Bravo and Raven OWB Light Bearing.
JM Kydex makes an excellent OWB Light Bearing holster. They make an IWB as well but I have no experience with it. Unfortunately, you may be waiting even longer on JM.WTB - S&W 310 or 610 10MM Revolver.
WTB - Gen 1 Glocks
WTB - Ruger P91DC -
I'm OK with either OWB or IWB but I prefer IWB.
I've been leaning toward the Bravo Concealment BCA which was formerly named the Patriot. The reason is that one I can use as either OWB or IWB with optional loops.
I don't mind waiting for quality but this will be my first all kydex holster.Comment

OP, think you have to be paitent with any maker right now, the small shops (guys who do this after work) are getting ready to be with family. The larger shops who do this full time are also looking towards the holiday shut down. The mid size shops are also already packing up for SHOT SHOW.
I personally like my supplier Cooks Holster. As a dealer I get priority build and ship. But again this is the holiday. What I like about Cooks, is besides the fact that he manufactures for a number of company's, groups such as the Well Armed Woman under their label, he has a real gun and light in stock for every gun he builds a holster for.
In another thread here you will read about the stealer service JM gave the OP and another buyer. Worth reading. I don't carry JM, and there is a cautionary note about mentioning to the holster maker how you like to carry your gun, but you have to admire the service JM gave the guys. Long wait, but obviously worth the wait.Comment

Blade-tech has a decent turn around time... but a lot of places will be mass producing common items as SHOT show is weeks away....
Not your question, but why a light on the CHL Firearm?Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)
Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Every once in a while I have wanted to have a light. Mostly well doing some late night in building work. I would prefer a handheld light but on weapon is nice to have.
I Have an OCSD approval in writing to mount the light. Very rare that I do, but my answer was a $25 Sticky Holster LG-6L for laser for my full size M&P.
I actually like the holster a lot, as people who have shopped my store know it's what I use most off to carry. But I find I rarely if ever put a light on the gun. After all I am not going to point the gun at anything I am not willing to destroy, so I am not going to use the light on the gun to search an area unless it's the only light I have and then indirectly.Comment

I always carry a light in my pocket so the light on the gun won't be the only source. I live in the mountains and it gets pretty dark up here. The gun mounted light would more or less be for winter time. My primary carry is a Kahr Cw9 in an Alien Gear 3.0.
Grantar2 thanks for the thought about sticky. I have one for my Kahr that I like and didn't think about them for the XD.Comment

I believe Comp-tac makes a light-bearing hybrid holster, but unsure if they will have your pistol/light combination in-stock. You may want to email them for a special order request.
I think most holster makers are going to be a long lead time due to your carry combination.
I waited 8 weeks for my JM Custom Kydex for a CZ-75. It was worth it though.
Good Luck OP.Comment

For home use a weapon mounted light may be acceptable.

However, if you have to draw your weapon to use it in public, you have really changed the circumstances legally.
Unless you are clearing buildings or carry far outside of the city, drawing your gun to use your flashlight is risky and possibly illegal behavior.
You point your gun at someone to use your flashlight and you may get shot.
