I'm running out of money but still need a belt, help?

I've been spending a ton of money lately on ammo, guns (buying a pistol in the morning, bought a rifle last week), holsters, more ammo, training, sights, even more ammo, etc. I still need a belt. Money is getting a little tight because the holidays are coming and I have a vacation right after the new year to pay for so I need to focus my money on that.

I need a belt still. I'm a jeans guy. I wear a nylon belt now just for holding my pants up. It kind of looks like a riggers belt without the stiffness. It's no good as a carry belt. I don't wear slacks or fancy pants.

I'm looking for a decent belt for edc. I don't much care what it's made of. I don't care if it looks tactical or not. I wear my shirt untucked and wear a lot of flannel or Dickies button up work shirts over t-shirts so nobody is going to see it.

I'm sure a few of you will give me the old "you get what you pay for" routine. I'm aware of that. I can buy a nice expensive belt after the vacation and keep this one as a backup or spare.

Is their such an animal as a decent sub $50 belt. If you got a link post it.

    Thanks guys.

    Hanks Amish http://www.hanksclothing.com/amish_belts_ccw.html

    The bullhide belt is $50

Not my cup of tea but very popular, the Wilderness Instructor belt is $45 http://www.midwayusa.com/product/722...tor-belt-nylon

+1 on the Wilderness for non-Fancy Pants attire. It's not a fashion statement but it gets the job done well. And it's rated for 8000lbs in case you want to....tow a car or something.

I order direct. Pretty much the same price but you can get your exact size.

The Original Instructor Belt was developed in 1983 and has been refined ever since. It is a very strong belt with a specially designed carbon steel V-ring buckle with a tough, non-glare black nitrided finish which is highly corrosion-resistant and will not chip like painted coatings. The belt was originally designed to clip into a secure system while "instructing" others in high places during mountain rescue training, although they can be used for emergency rappelling with proper training. Our belts have also proven to be a fantastic everyday pants belt for casual or outdoor use, as well as concealed-carry. (More below…)

The problem I have with the Wilderness belt is the excess doubles back the way it came from, which is my strong side. That would make it impossible to velcro back in place when I am wearing OWB belt slide holsters, and also would be wonky trying to get it back through my loops of IWB because I wear IWB at 2.30ish. So the only way the Wilderness belt would work for me is if I wore it backwards, and put it on like a lefty or something. The Wilderness is good for IWB only the way I see it, and even then it must be measured very critically so the excess is not too long. If you wear AIWB or just farther forward than 3.00, I don't see how you hassle getting it back through every day before you get sick of it and chuck it. Plus I am just not big on velcro.

I love my double sided 5.11 belt. Wear it daily, and it holds well.

I've been wearing the 5.11 Tactical TDU Belt with plastic buckle every day for the past 15 months and amazingly, it still looks brand new. No fraying on the end or anywhere at all. Supports daily holster use extremely well. I travel a lot and the plastic buckle allows me to go through metal detectors without having to remove my belt. A huge plus. It's also only $19.99.

I just bought my second one of these.

I've been wearing it pretty much exclusively with jeans, and it has held up great. No sag even when I was hiking with my 6 inch L frame a could weeks back. Been real happy with it, and the price is sub $50. I wanted to give the bullhide a try, but it was out of stock and I needed a black belt soon.

I have been using the Wilderness belt, and it seems to work fine.

I've been using an Army issue 1.75'' canvas riggers belt and it works really well. You can find em on ebay easy enough.

I personally like my Rothco hook and loop belt. Downside it only comes in black, upside we retail it for $11.99. I have a whole group of duty, BDU and tactical belts coming in for trial. The most expensive will be around $25. Will keep you posted.

+1 for the wilderness tactical belt. Iv'e been using it for a couple of months now, and it's as fantastic as everyone says. I like it so much I just recently ordered one of the titanium versions.

Seems hard to beat the Galco leather belt for $30
A sturdy belt is the foundation of a comfortable concealed carry system. Our 1 1/2 inch belts provide the support and durability needed.

This belt is $20 and will hold your gun well. I used it with a full size 1911 and had no issues.

OK, been wearing the inner duty belt with hook and loop for a couple of weeks now. To be honest I am startled how much I like it. For something we retail at as low as we do, it really supports the weapon regardless of which of the dozen holsters I have used it with. After I got used to setting the belt with hook and loop it's been great.

Have shot a couple of events with my triple retention duty belt, and love that too, but using as a belt through belt loops would take resetting the buckle every time as the buckle will not fit through the loops of any pants I own. But as a gun belt / duty belt I like it. Moved my IDPA rig off the Uncle Mikes belt that has served me for a couple of years.

Testing a riggers belt right now. These things are $7.99, simplicity personified and good support of the holster. Just started using it so have to wait and see how it performs, but it will be hard putting the hook and loop inner belt on hold well I do.

Promised a review so there it is. Also looking forward to testing the standard duty belt in the future.
