.06 or .08 kydex thickness for IWB?

Which thickness would be better for IWB? Could you use the .08 thickness for IWB?

0.080" thickness is good for IWB. I have made some earlier ones with 0.060" but it will collapse some if used with IWB holster (not to the point where you can't re-holster the pistol, unless you really tighten that belt). In my opinion there's no need to go thicker than 0.080".

I have IWB holsters that are .06" material and don't collapse. I also have .08" holsters. I prefer the thinner myself

Either thickness will do. Kydex, Boltaron, or Sintar are all decent materials, with very similar properties.

Really its a matter have what you are comfortable. In terms of on your body, if you can feel the difference of .02 thickness on your body, you may find IWB uncomfortable. (yes I realize with two sides its .04) Your comfort and fit are much more likely to be impacted by the clip location than the material thickness. Ultimately the thicker material should be more durable in this case. For a competition holster I would go thicker, for a personal holster I don't think it matters, and I don't think it should effect your ability to reholster.

I personally would prefer the .08.
