Anyone here have any experience or opinion of insurance through USCCA? I know about and have experienced their massive amounts of email. But I'm looking for liability insurance (for both CCW and home defense).

I called as asked about it.

The show stopper for me was that the insurance they offer does not reimburse legal costs if you are found guilty for whatever reason.

So, you have a ultra liberal jury in San Francisco, you get jail time for defending yourself as well as all the legal fees (and insurance premiums) you've paid.

I think for insurance they are fine, but I didn't like the legal coverage. That is why I went with NRA, and CCW Safe.

There are already threads on this so I won't go into detail. CCW Safe covers all the legal, both Criminal, plus appeal if necessary, expert witness expense. They also and this is huge, cover the civil legal expenses. They don't have a long track record, but they have the right information, and people on their team.

I sent questions to USCAA, Second Call Defense, and CCW Safe asking what attorneys/firms they work with in the Orange County area. USCAA responded with a longish list that included two of the go to guys that are usually mentioned in this area. Second Call responded that they would not provide the info. CCW Safe did not even bother to respond. Both USCAA and Second Call allow you to choose your own criminal defense team and reimburse if all goes well, up to contracted limits. CCW Safe claims they will pay for all and unlimited defense, but not sure how much expertise the local team would have. CCW Safe does seem to have some experienced Directors and I imagine they would be the ones directing a local team and would be the expert witnesses, etc. Lots more info in other threads ...
