    Changes to OC CCW?

Wouldnt that be cool to have to renew your CCW license every 5 instead of 2 years? And qualify with 1 gun and then carry anyone you want, just something to think about for the future.

Not an option for issuing agencies - duration of licenses and listing of specific handguns is specified in PC.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Not going to say too much but a super reliable source told me that OC is trying to go 5 year and you qualify one gun and can carry any gun you like. Lets see if that happens in the future.

That would be quite reasonable - but the issuing agencies are not supposed to violate Penal Code.

            OK, stop laughing.

Without legislative changes, that project is doomed to failure.

And why would they make the changes? It would only be of disservice to them. They make it easier for citizens to obtain and keep CCWs. It would require them to put in some effort, which they will only do if it is to their benefit. Plus, that would also cut back on revenue for them. They could only collect fees every 5 years instead of every 2.

Speculation on desired changes to the CCW law is really off-topic for this forum; that goes up to Politics and Activism.

Here in Concealed Carry Discussion we're trying to be a bit more 'nuts and bolts'. Actual IA policy changes are on topic, future laws are not (until they are on the books).

I did hear a rumor that they might raise the number of guns that can be on your card from 3 to 6 (like riverside)

Three is a really small number, would like more options.

The number of guns allowed is, apparently, within the administrative authority of an issuing agency. PC says only the guns must be listed, and the app says include additional sheets if needed.
