I have a question. Thanks in advance. Can you sell a pistol that is on your CCW permit or you have to wait to take it off before selling?

This would be something to ask your IA. I don't see a legal issue with just selling it.NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor

I don't think you would have to wait. There is a requirement that you only carry the pistols listed on your permit. There is no requirement to keep the pistols listed on your permit, so long as they are disposed of somehow lawfully. Best to check with your IA to be safe.Comment

I guess it depends on your county requirements. Here in OC you would just notify the sheriff that you're subtracting one gun from your permit. If you weren't adding a new one then they would just reprint your permit minus the one gun.
Outside of OC I have no idea.Comment

I should have stated... here in OC you are only allowed 3 guns on your permit. That's why we are nice and tidy about keeping the permit up to date. LOLComment

No reason to wait to sell. You'll have the paperwork if the person uses the gun in a crime. Take it off when you have the #3 ready to add.sigpicDon't ask how many guns I own, I lost count.
