    Ventura/Oxnard ccw courses.

Where did you go to take your class? How much was it? Was the training worth the cost?

I received my pre approval letter last Wednesday and need to take the course now. Does anyone offer classes during the week? I don't normally have weekends off but I can get a weekend off if I needed too.

Where did you conduct the live fire portion of the class at? How many rounds and distance?

I took the course at Island View in Ventura $300 includes qualification with two guns. $25 for each additional. Looks like their next class is July 19-20 but it's a weekend class.
The qualification was done on their indoor range. 20 or 25 feet was the longest distance 20 rounds per gun. I thought it was worth the cost convenient location for me as well.

I used Paul at LoVerme Enterprises in Moorpark. $250 for training including certifying you with the Ventura Co. max of five guns. Classroom instruction was done at his home in Moorpark and the range qualification was done at Wes Thompson's in Piru. Best bang for the buck, in my opinion.

I used Triggerburst Training in Newbury Park. He has a simulator and our live fire was at Angeles. Mike's prices are very competitive. If you contact him let him know you saw it on Calguns.

We train all categories of firearms from Civilian and Security Guard, Law Enforcement to Enhanced Hand Gun Carry (EHGC or CCW) Permits for the State of Tennessee, Initial Permits and Renewals. Security Guards and Retired Law Enforcment can Re-qualify here, too.

I don't regret burning some bridges. I regret that some people weren't on those bridges when I burnt them!

I think I'm going to go with SRS. They can help me during the week with the classes. Thanks for all your input!

Unfortunately I'm a limited budget college student. Distance matters a lot.

Triggerburst was the cheapest around when we took it

I got Srs for 280 including 3 firearms with a class that's just a few miles away.

                          Thanks though
