Placer county CCW easy to get?

Also, is it true they're going to start allowing you to submit GC and apply before paying for the courses?

And what happens to your CCW if you move?

    Thx

Read through the thread for Placer county in the CCW section. It's a long thread so you should start on the last page and work your way through the latest updates.

If you move out of your county of issue, your LTC expires in 90 days, and you are back at square one in the new place.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Yes you can apply and meet for the first interview where your GC will be reviewed, before you take courses. You might get a good feeling during the interview that you will be issued and that your GC is good, then go take the courses. Or you might wait until you get a notice that you are approved for the next step which is livescan, then take the course. But you do not have to show up at the interview with a course completion certificate.

Never heard of any problem with SSE in Placer but if the current caliber of the pistol doesn't match what DOJ has on file it may be. I only have personal knowledge of Placer CCWs with SSE pistols that were DROSd in the native caliber. Please let us know if you find out differently, thanks.
