    Question regarding my application

It is my understanding that a fix it ticket for expired registration is not a moving violation is that correct?

My situation is a little different however. Long story not so short I borrowed a friends truck to move some stuff and got pulled over for expired tags. We went to the court to show proof of correction and pay the fine. The court clerk informed that the officer had incorrectly marked the ticket as a misdemeanor instead of an infraction and I could not pay the fine because the ticket was sent back to the officer for correction. I was told to wait for a courtesy notice in the mail and then come down to take care of it. Called two weeks later and was told the same thing just watch for notice in the mail. Never got a notice. Sometime later I got pulled over for a burnt out taillight and was told my DL had been suspended for failure to appear for that ticket. I went to court the next day explained to the judge what happened. He dropped the failure to appear immediately, reinstated my DL and a couple of days later I showed proof of correction.

On my DMV printout it does show MY DL was suspended for 4/16/11, failure to appear dismissed 5/15/11 and DL reinstated 5/16/11. So I know this will show up on the BG check and would like to disclose it. Should I just write "see attached" under the ticket info block and type an explanation? Or is there another way to go about it? This is Kern County btw. Thank you for any advice you can give.

I would take it blank to the opening interview and tell the officer that you're not sure how to properly complete it. I was told that traffic violations were not normally a problem unless you were cuffed.

i wouldnt worry about it. Just explain it like you did here
"It wasn't a failure of laws," said Amanda Wilcox, who along with her husband, Nick, lobbies for the California chapter of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. "I just don't see how our gun laws could have stopped something like that."

Thanks guys, typed up an explanation just in case. Was gonna drop off the app at the substation today but, got denied. They only take initial app's Tuesday thru Thursday between 1:30 and 4:30. A little inconvenience but, it will save me a trip over the hill to Bakersfield. So Tuesday it will be. Thanks again

I don't think you have anything to worry about. . . unless you chose not to mention it at all -as that would show dishonesty. Agree you should just explain it like you did here. . . I don't think they will care. I was told, or read somewhere, that they ask about even non-serious things to see if the applicant will answer honestly. Believe me, I had more serious issues - though from 50 years back - and they told me not to worry as long as all was included.
