How do you set up an appointment in santa clarita? Just ask for a appointment with the local sheriff or is there a specific number to call for la county?

My understanding is that you mail in the application to the LASD headquarters with a check for $10. See page 3 for instructions.

But doesn't part of the form have to be filled out with a police officer present?

If you read some of the posts in this thread: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=896622, you'll see that some had their apps sent back because sections 7 and 8 were not filled out prior to being mailed in.

Just spoke to the Monterey Park Sheriff's headquarters. Just to confirm previous posts: She stated that everything but the witness lines should be filled out, including sections 7 & 8 with signatures as required.
