As a recent court decision says a backpack is NOT on the person, it's upon the person it something to that effect, basically it would have to be in your belt or pocket, to be possessed, a backpack no longer counts

I fish a lot. From a boat. Weapon is almost always in my backpack which is quickly available to me. In fact during the winter may be faster from my back pack than my hip. And I understand that.
