    CCW Reason help

Many people have told me that a good reason to put down on a CCW application is thinks such as being a hiker and fisher in remote locations (which is not a lie because I am and do).
However, if I list this as my reason and I get accepted, does it become unlawful for me to carry in any situation other than the one I listed? (I.E. For protection, around town)

Let me know, and much obliged!

It's all dependent on the IA and if they list restrictions on your LTC.

The IA would be Sac county, and seeing your location, could you shed some personal light?

Keep in mind too, if you have a fishing/hunting license you can carry in SOME places already without a LTC. May not be the best reason alone.

Sac County: Self defense/defense of family. THAT'S IT.

You don't need a reason. Write down "Bill of Rights" and be done with it.

Cute, but bad advice. There are ten Rights, nine of which are irrelevant to the issue. (Well, I'm pretty sure the prohibition against quartering troops in homes is not relevant to CCW).

OBG has it right. For the last few years, Sacramento Sheriff only wants to hear, "defense of myself and my family". This has been documented and reported many times on this site.

              Cheers.

Get rid of home defense. You can carry at home without a license.
