Sac County CCW question - Modified trigger

I am waiting for my CCW appointment in January and was debating on modifying the triggers on one of my pistols.

Am I going to have a problem putting that pistol on my CCW?

    Thanks.

Maybe your trigger doesn't work properly,or feels wrong, and in the interest of safety you need a professional gun smith to make sure it's clean, and operates smoothly correctly and with the appropriate reset. Since you yourself are not qualified to work on that particular mechanism and do not know if it is working the way it should, you need to ask a professional to look it over... ?

      Your call I guess.

"So you modified your trigger to make it easier to shoot the defendant did you? You wanted to shoot him so bad you could not even wait for two more pounds of pressure to be placed on the trigger, and in that two pounds you took away his ability to inform you that he was not trying to kill but that he was merely a confused individual. And how long have you wanted to be a mass murderer?

If its illegal to do, of course I would not do it.
Why is a good trigger used on target guns,
to increase accuracy and hit what your aiming at,correct ? Makes no sense, but it is Ca.

You don't need to fuss with your trigger. Train often and train with specific goals in mind. My main carry weapon is bone stock... I've never thought to myself wow my trigger is **** while drawing and shooting for practice. Your mind shouldn't be anywhere near that thought anyway. It isn't bullseye shooting and a previous post hit it on the head regarding the line of attack the perps lawyer will use. Or the DA god forbid...

Don't worry about modifying your CC gun in Sac County.

                    Fixed that for you...

I'd spend the money on training with a good reputable company / person. Under pressure you're relying on gross motor skills. If you've got time to worry about your trigger chances are you're not using muscle memory and need more training anyway.

Don't take it as a personal knock or attack. I am speaking in general and these are just my opinions of course.

                      I agree,
But my carry gun is also used just for fun,target,plinking...and since all my firearms are multipurpose may as well make them all as comfortable I can, stock grips are fine, but I normally change those to.
Then train with your nicely tuned piece. Or your off the shelf pistol,if that's what you like.

Understood, luckily my primary carry weapon is just that and can remain unmolested. I'd highly recommend keeping it stock for legal reasons. I'm not saying that it'll be an issue however the line of questioning earlier in the thread was similar to one I posted a few months ago when this question came up before. I've been in front of lawyers before and they will do anything to win. On the bright side you've got your CCW and that's ALWAYS a win for the good guys

Legally speaking, if your issuing agency has a restriction on modifying your carry gun's trigger or any modification that is not OEM, then you must follow that restriction.
However, there is no such penal code that specifically addresses modifications performed to triggers on carry gun or guns used during self defense.
In addition, there has been no test case so far that would support either side of the debate, with that said, all the negative views on moded trigger is just FUD at the moment.
Look it this way, if someone were to build and carry a custom 1911 from a 80% frame and add all custom parts to it, how would any DA ever prove which trigger should have been "stock" or unmodified in this situation.
                          Hi

Sac County doesn't address the issue at all. My advice is never mention any mods.

your choice if you think you have to have it make you a better shooter than do it but train alot and often. the mod can be brought up in court if the worse case happens
