Can purchasing too many guns in a two month span affect getting approved for a LTC permit?

Will the sheriff ask about this?

In my Sac County interview, they didn't ask anything about weapon purchase times. All they asked was how I planned to store them, and which ones I would be carrying. Haven't gotten my approval letter yet, but IMO from the detective's reactions, I think they really could care less about your purchase history.

I'm sure they can look up what you have purchased, but I don't think that that would disqualify you. An obvious step to getting a LTC would be the purchase of some new guns.

I don't think it makes a difference. I wasn't even asked how I store my firearms. They did ask if I have had any contact with LEOs. The Sheriffs office knew that I was involved in an auto accident.

In solano county I had to prove that I legally owned the guns I wanted to put on the permit. Had to request verification from the authorities but they never asked about any other weapons.

Amber Wong at the Sac Sheriff office told me when I applied that people have tried to list relative's handguns on their permit.

In Butte County the guns on the permit do not have to be registered to you. At least up until the point you need to show the officer the permit and then I would think it would be advisable to be assigned to that weapon. The process of acquiring the permit however does not require proof of assignment to the firearm(s)
It is interesting how our National right to secure and bear arms is so different from County to County and State to State for that matter..

One can purchase as many long guns as you like, and as many handguns via PPT as your wallet can afford.

1-in-30 is for handguns purchased from dealer stock.

No, the only thing the issuing agency will look at is the 3 you have inspected for your CCW.

No firearm question during my interview. They look at your honesty/integrity ... so any questions they ask, just be upfront with it. Chances are, they already know the answer.
