What handguns are allowed on the LAPD CCW permit?

So I recently had my interview and the Det. said something when he saw my CZ on the list of firearms. He told me that off roster handguns would be ineligible for my ccw. this would include my handguns that fell of the roster but I purchased retail here in Los Angeles. Any one have any knowledge or currently carry unubtanium handguns? I was planning on putting my VP9 (PTP pre roster) my cz compact(fell off), and my 1911CS.

I would consider my g19 but I'm unsure as the Glock V thing is going on and it will probably fall off roster, as well as my P2000 as HK is probably going to let that thing fall off due to it being discontinued ( a tragedy).

I have a few others I am ok with like my hellcat (less practice but a good sub for the FN)

Im at a point where i might just get the PDP as a replacement for the VP9 but id like to know before investing in another one that i would then need to start drilling with. (not that id mind as it looks like a nice one but its still 700+)

Ask the Det. where in the statutes there is a prohibition excluding off rooster handguns. You could ask if he or she is aware that in Bruen the US Supreme Court held that discretionary requirements and restrictions are unconstitutional and that any attempt to apply this discretionary restriction would subject him or her to a Title 42 Section 1983 federal suit for damages and attorney fees.

Sometimes there is confusion between “rostered” and “registered”. The statutes now require the gun be registered to you, but not “rostered”.

The silliness of the concept of banning non-rostered guns is illustrated by the nature of the Roster. Any gun currently on roster has an expiration date of 1/1/2026. Next year’s roster will have expiration dates of 1/1/2027.

You will be issued a license for 2 years. Under your officer’s “policy” you would never be able to get a license because the gun’s roster date would be shorter than the licensure.

If true, shocked. My G45 is on my LAPD CCW for the 2nd time (initial & renewal).
Too many rifles, not enough time...
