Any actions required after being pulled over?

If somebody was pulled over for speeding, given a verbal "drive safe" basically - no ticket no written warning or anything by a local PD - do you need to inform anybody about that? I thought I remembered in my original class being told that, but can't find anything specifically saying you must. I'm currently awaiting renewal and just want to make sure I follow any rules.

LA County rules state you should notify CCW office via email within 3 days of negative enforcement contact and states "arrested, cited, questioned, detained" but I'm not sure I was actually "questioned" and none of the others apply obviously. They never even checked my insurance or registration just took my ID and I informed them I was a CCW holder and let me go right away.

    Thanks

I'd let them know. A traffic stop is a detention. Besides better safe than sorry.

freefolk Thank you for including your LA County CCW timeline in your signature. My wife has been waiting for a call since she's been placed on the waiting list back in March 2024. Wondering if such long wait is normal for the LA County...

UPDATE: Just called LAPD line and there is recording saying they are currently schedule interviews for those who applied in November 2023. Wow!

A traffic stop would qualify as a type of LE contact that you should report to the isssuing agency, especially under LASD jurisdiciton.

My IA would expect to be notified in this situation. As already pointed out, you were detained.
