Just passed my 1 Year anniversary (emailed March 24, 2024) awaiting the interview. Last 3 1/2 months the message on the LAPD CCW Line states: "we are processing interview applications from SEPT 2023?" Simply unbelievable.
Why doesn't Karen Azz just tell us "We don't want you; or anyone for that matter, to carry a gun under any circumstances if you live in LA." Way easier to deal with than the BS. Not even talking about the Hoop Jumping, 10000 hours of class time, qualification, etc. etc.
My AZ (had residences in Scottsdale) Department of Public Safety CCW; Took 4 hour class, fingerprinting, send the docs and return of "the Card" - was total of 3 weeks some years ago. Still have it but carries ZERO weight here.
Anyone have any sage advice other than be patient?
