Anyone got an email from Ventura Country CCW regarding 'Release of Information'

I received an email from VCSO CCW -

This email is to inform you that we recently received a public records request from a private citizen regarding all CCW holders in Ventura County. As is stated in the application you signed:
Notwithstanding any other provision of law and pursuant to the Public Records Act (Government Code section 7920.000 et seq.), I understand that information contained in this application may be a matter of public record and shall be made available upon request or court order.
As such, we will be releasing your first and last name, as well as your issue date, to this individual. Unfortunately, the only way to prevent your information from being released is to relinquish your CCW.

Anyone else receiving this? Or does this mean someone requests my records and just mine? I feel very unsafe now someone knows my name, address and the fact that I have guns at this address...

This has occurred a few times in the past in counties that have traditionally issued CCW permits. Could be an activist or a journalist. Personally I don't worry about it. Someone might get your address, but you'd be a fool to try and rob a house where a CCW lives.

It's 2025. Mickey Mouse is in the public domain and Goofy has left the White House.

Since they are doxing everyone (after the CA DOJ did to the dark web), why are they not doxing the person(s)/agencies making the request ???

Just got an update e-mail. Looks like our sheriff is fighting the good fight for us. Really nice to see.

"This is to provide an update on the Public Records Act requests VCSO has received regarding your personal information related to CCW issuance. I have made the decision not to release any information pursuant to exemptions under the Public Records Act. We have informed the requestors as to why we will not be responding to these requests, and I will keep you informed as this situation progresses.

        Regards,

        Sheriff Fryhoff"
