What happens next?

I received a call from the LA County Sheriff’s Dept. CCW Unit regarding my application I submitted 18 months ago. She questioned me regarding my application to ensure all of the data submitted was correct, which it was. I submitted ALL of the documents via email that she requested. I followed-up a few days later via a phone message and then an email asking what’s next in the process. I haven’t received any response to either of my inquires.

Can someone tell me what’s next in the process and approximately how long this takes? I’d like to schedule the training but I don’t want to jump the gun.

How do you know it was LASD you talked to? Is there an online site that shows your application status (via e mail?)? Why did you wait so long to follow up?

How do you know it was LASD you talked to? Because they had all of my submitted paper applications (before they switched to on-line) and I traced the phone number.

I contacted them once a month for 18 months and their reply was, “we’re working on applications and we’re backed-up”

Depending on where you go for the training I think your certificate is good for up to a year.

Sorry for being doubting, scams are everywhere! Sounds like you are all over it, since it is a different IA I am unfamilar. In my ventures with my IA, I was able to get a couple of phone numbers and e mail addresses that really helped! 18 months! Ugh! What a travesty of justice! Maybe one day..things will be different!

I received a email from the Sheriff's CCW Unit. It will be another 6-8 weeks to complete my investigation. Hurry up and wait 🤬

Strange goings-on,

I submitted a CCW application in May of 2023 via the old paperwork system. After receiving phone calls last month for a additional documentation that I submitted, I just received another email telling me I was approved to qualify. NO INTERVIEW 🤔 They gave me 60 days to qualify and to submit the qualification documents via email. 🎉🙏🏻

I’m in Santa Clarita. Any suggestions for a CHEAP place to take the training would be appreciated.

Check your agency for a list of training sites first, not all training sights are accepted.
