CCW background question

who can i ask if something in my past would effect my eligibility for a CCW? The particular incident did not effect my purchase or possession eligibility but I am wondering if it would make a difference on a CCW application or if i would even need to disclose it.

I would disclose everything. If you don't and they find it it'll be a bad thing.

Generally, if it's written down somewhere then it needs to be disclosed.

disclosure would depend on the question asked (id never give an LEO info they didnt specifically ask for, if im not invoking my right to remain silent that is).. its more how it would affect my application...
if it didn't cause a denial on my purchase from DOJ could it still trigger a denial for a CCW?
I know its hard to give a specific answer without knowing the details, i just don't want to air it out into the forum where anyone that knows how to google could see it...

I'd disclose everything, especially with the understanding that a Livescan Background check will be done to confirm and reveal what you will ultimately be judged on. There was a thread recently where a person forgot to mention their burglary charge and subsequent detainment, and was denied for "dishonesty." Whether they honestly plum forgot or tried to conceal the event is anybody's guess, but failure to disclose in this case resulted in a denial.

/me frustrated. Why do these people with interesting facts never email me??

It's interesting that someone would be denied for a fact that they cannot be asked to provide. That is, without the licensing authority committing a misdemeanor crime themselves.
