El Monte CCW

Couldn't find any posts about this specifically and I'm not sure where else to ask this question, but are there are any members in El Monte , excluding South El Monte, that have successfully obtained their CCW permit? I'm currently waiting to do the last part of the process, the in house range qual, at the EMPD station - but it seems they're taking their sweet time to schedule it, like beyond the 90 days that their website lists.
