Time and Cost = 204 days at $860 all in total

From the time I submitted the completed application to the IA was 204 days till the time I got in hand the printed license (which looks like a 1980's school ID BTW).

All costs associated IA fees, 16 hour training, range fees, and psych exam came to at $860. These were the required costs I could not avoid. I'm not counting any new purchases or clothing/belts.

Are you in Long Beach by chance? Mines looking to be about the same numbers when all is said and done.

Cause Snoop is from the LBC?

OP, it would be helpful to state your IA. Helps with perspective.

Snoopy, send an e-mail to CRPA detailing the time line and costs.

CRPA is actively pursuing these exorbitant costs and wait times.

I am sorry to hear this. It's just wrong!

Congrats. Spent $1100 here and mine took me 150 days from start to finish, because I applied when SB2 was going into effect and we had to wait & see what to do about training and the psych eval costs.

Realistically, if I went through the same process now and got my approval again within 2 weeks after all paperwork was submitted, it would've taken around 60 days total through my local city PD (still same cost).

In retrospect, my LASD app is currently on day 707 and I'm still waiting for a call back.

Don't worry...the two years flies by and then you'll be bending over and paying out the *** once again for the privilege of begging your local constabulary for the PRIVILEGE of being able to exercise your GOD GIVEN right.

Congrats on the permit. But this is all unconstitutional garbage.

The expenses and delays in issuance of a CCW in California seem unconstitutional to me, especially in light of the Bruen decision.
