Question on ccw app.

Hello fellow call gunners, my appointment is coming up in a few days and I have a couple questions I would like to ask.

First is I only own fire arm right now but I want to add more, do I need to add them now or can I do it after I take the gun course to qualify.

Second, I got pulled over when I was 18 and was considered driving under the influence. Barely but underage, so the officers took my license and it was suspended for a year but when I went to court I only got a ticket for switching lanes without signaling. Is that a DUI? Is that a misd or felony?

Third, I was arrested when I was 15 for possession of drugs, am I suppose to put that on the app?

Get a copy of your record, and put what is there on the app. Make sure not to answer questions that aren't asked, and make sure to answer the asked questions completely.

As for adding guns to a CCW, you can typically ccw what you qualify with. If you want to add one later, you must qualify with the newer gun again, typically through another ccw class or similar arrangement.

How old are you now and the DMV is a good source for driving record but the report will only show the past ten years.

I am 26 turning 27. the dmv only shows traffic violation but how do i get my criminal record that was when i was 15. i think 14 turning 15.

As for adding guns to a CCW, you can typically ccw what you qualify with. If you want to add one later, you must qualify with the newer gun again, typically through another ccw class or similar arrangement.

So on the form should i just leave the gun part blank until i qualify with the guns or i have to put the gun down and qualify with what ever i put on the app?

I imagine there is a fairly simple process for that, but you should know your criminal record. I know I remember every time I have spoken to LEO's when it mattered. I remember the few times I have had handcuffs on me and I am MUCH older than you

Also, don't assume that because your juvenile record might have been sealed that they can't see it. If anything they'll see that there is a sealed record. If they don't have anything to correspond with that for the background investigation, you're toast.

Don't bother with a copy of your record. Just write it down as you remember it, or to the extent you've retained records indicating the actual events and outcomes, to the best of your ability.

You don't have to list any of your weapons on the initial application. When you qualify with your weapon(s) during your mandated training, your instructor will list the weapons on this form. You take that form to your issuance appointment and then they get listed on your permit.

The law states that the application is the only form required, but that application must be complete. Proof of training is a separate issue.

So i had my interview last week but i don't feel very confident. Does bad driving record really play a big role in this? I know i have a juvenile record but im sure it doesnt show up in the DOJ because I've applied to jobs which require DOJ and Live scan and I've always marked no on any convictions. Well, wish me luck because i think i definitely need it.

How long is the letter going to take because the Detective told my two weeks.

The panel meets every two weeks to go over the applications. If they just met the you have to wait until they meet again plus the time for the letter in the mail.

When I had my appointment, the panel had just met and my letter arrived 3 weeks later.

Livescan also took 3 weeks to arrive at the SSD.

Why don't you feel confident? Your post sounds like you withheld the juvenile information. Is that the case? Did you disclose the DUI? Generally, a license is not suspended for a year for switching lanes without signaling. You should have assumed that they would find all of this in your background.

Deception won't bode well for you, with respect to "good moral character".
